Exeter Craft Festival

The Exeter Craft Festival doesn’t think there could be a better place for a summer festival of crafts and arts than Exeter’s beautiful Cathedral Green, and this prestigious event has been taking place in that lovely setting for nearly 50 years.
This year’s event takes place on 4th, 5th and 7th July and, as usual, will host more than 100 stands featuring the high-quality work of craftspeople and artists resident in the Westcountry, with a high proportion of those from Exeter itself.
Exhibitors are bringing original craftwork across all genres, such as woodwork, including furniture, glasswork, ceramics, jewellery, leatherwork, ironwork, textiles, aromatics and much more. There is even consideration for the planet and the climate crisis is borne in mind by a number of exhibitors. For example, jewellers are using recycled precious metals, and there is a wide range of other things making use of recycled materials. Some artists are also producing pictures featuring naturally sourced or upcycled materials, while there is a wide range of pictorial art available too, from landscape photography to oil and watercolour paintings. In short, there is something to suit every taste and pocket!
There is also family-friendly free entertainment, including vocalists, dancers, a children's entertainer and a strolling jazz band, which gives the event a village green summer fête vibe, and refreshments are available on site.
