OTTERTON OPEN GARDENS TAKING PLACE ON 25 MAY

Following a two-year hiatus the Otterton Open Gardens is returning to the East Devon’s 2025 Calendar and will take place on 25 May 2025 through the village from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m.

The always popular Open Gardens will not only see 10 gardens open, but will see miniature train rides at The Old Station, which still has the track of the Otterton and East Budleigh Light Railway in its grounds. There will be a late afternoon barbecue at the King’s Arms Pub starting at 4:30 p.m. as well as refreshments available from the Village Hall throughout the event.

There will also be a Tractor & Trailer ride provided by Stantyway Farm - the popular and innovative farm which borders the English Channel.

Tickets for the Open Gardens event are £6 each with under 16s who are accompanied free of charge. Monies raised from ticket sales is being split between the village’s St. Michael’s Church, Devon Air Ambulance and Otterton Relief In Need (ORINC).

“We’re delighted to be hosting this wonderful community-inspired event once again," comments event coordinator Rupert Dixon who will be showing his own garden. "The Village has some stylish and statement-making gardens that will offer visitors great experiences and, I believe, inspiration for their own gardens and planting. It’s a chance to get visit and walk about this wonderful and historic place and sample not only the gardens but also partake of food and drink at either the Village Hall, the popular King’s Arms pub or at the acclaimed Otterton Mill.
