Siege of Exeter 1549

Commotion Timers re-enactors will be living in St Nicholas Priory, showing what it was like to survive in troubled times

The Priory will turn into a house under siege and visitors will travel back in time and step into a merchant family’s life. Watch the servants prepare food, see the ladies at their spinning and needlework, learn how to put on armour and hear scholars share their historical insights into the Prayer Book Rebellion in the West Country. Families can join in with medieval pastimes and younger visitors will have the chance to try out various medieval games.
