This year marks the 75th anniversary of the Festival of Britain held in 1951 to boost morale after the Second World War and celebrate the reconstruction of the nation. Whimple resident, Alan Lascelles, has kindly agreed to give a talk during which he will be reflecting on the Festival itself, its impact and legacy.
