Since 1964, the iconic building that is The Octagon has been a childhood memory for every local and visitor to the seafront in Exmouth buying their ice cream. We have given this incredible building a major makeover, still retaining a takeaway element but now introducing Devon’s newest seaside restaurant.
Its excellent location and unspoilt views across the river to the seas to Dawlish, Torbay and beyond and from the marina along towards the coastal watch tower. There couldn’t be a better location to eat and drink whilst taking in the best view in Devon.
Once stepping into the Octagon, you will feel its magical panoramic viewpoint, its classic atmosphere with a modern take and simplicity allowing you to enjoy the food, the drink, the atmosphere with excellent table service and the background music with every table offering sea views!
Our Chefs have created a great menu for everyone so whether you are visiting The Octagon for breakfast, lunch or an evening meal, we have insisted that every aspect of your experience will again create an enjoyable adult memory that will leave you wanting to come back for more.
It certainly was my childhood memory and I am pleased to have the honour of taking care of this building for many more years to come.
