Public invited to see how the NHS is using robots in surgery and hear the latest from the Royal Devon

Local people will have the opportunity to hear about advancements in the NHS at a public event taking place at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford) and online, on Tuesday 1 October 2024, 12.30pm-4pm.

All are welcome to come along and hear from the Trust’s clinical experts, who will be sharing how they are carrying out surgery with the help of robots to improve patient care. The Trust now has three robots at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital and one robot at North Devon District Hospital.

The talk will be followed by the Annual Members’ Meeting, where the Board of Directors will provide an update about the Trust’s performance over the previous financial year, share their plans for the year ahead, and take questions from members of the public. They will also present the Trust’s Annual Report & Accounts 2023/24.

The event will be held in the Lecture Theatre of the RILD Building at the Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital (Wonford), and online via Microsoft Teams. Places are limited, so please book in advance.

A light lunch will be available. The event is free and open to all.
