Storm Ciaran forces schools across the County to close

A number of schools will be closed across Devon on Thursday due to storm Ciaran

An amber weather warning for wind will come into force during the early hours of tomorrow and will remain active until 11am. The Met Office has advised the strong winds could pose a number of risks including 'flying debris'. As a resulted of the predicted poor weather a number of schools will close tomorrow. 

Schools including:

Alphington Primary, Brixington Primary, Clyst Vale Community College, Littleham C of E Primary school have confirmed closures as well as many others. As of Wednesday evening 184 schools were confirmed of being closed on Thursday
