Two people were cut-off by the tide in East Devon on Sunday afternoon
Beer Coastguard Rescue Team were unable to reach them on foot or by water due to the sea conditions, Sidmouth Independent Lifeboat was requested to try and get 2 cro's to the casualties by using a sledge.
A Coastguard helicopter was also requested and Rescue 924 was tasked from Newquay.
The lifeboat stood by in case the helicopter was unable to winch the 2 casualties to safety.
Thankfully the two casualties were winched up and lowered onto the beach where the Coastguard assessed their injuries, luckily there was nothing to serious, but they were advised to attend a minor injuries unit on their way home.
