Officers are appealing for information after a car was seen driving down the wrong way of the M5 on Sunday 12 January near Exeter.

Police were notified at around 7.50pm by multiple motorists reporting that a yellow vehicle was driving on the wrong side of the Northbound carriageway between Junction 28 Cullompton and Junction 30 Exeter.
Roads policing officers were deployed to the area and managed to stop the vehicle at Junction 29.
A 36-year-old woman from Exeter was arrested on suspicion of driving whilst unfit through drugs and dangerous driving. She has been bailed until 13th March 2025.
Patrol Constable William Welch said: “We understand how shocking this incident will have been to witness and would like to thank the multiple members of public who contacted 999 to alert us.
“We are now appealing to any witnesses who have not yet come forward, especially if you have dash camera footage, to contact 101 and quote log 677 12/1/25 or occurrence 50250008824.”
