East Devon District Council are asking for your help following an act of vandalism at the Changing Places toilet at Lime Kiln, Budleigh Salterton. The matter has been passed to the police and is under investigation.
The incident happened on Saturday 28 September 20255 at around 1.30am onwards. CCTV captured an individual repeatedly kicking the keypad for over an hour. Please note. No cash is ever stored in any of our public toilets.
The damage was costly to repair and sadly meant the Changing Places toilet was out of action from 27 September to 6 October. These facilities are vital — they provide larger, accessible spaces with specialist equipment like a hoist and changing bench, supporting people with complex and multiple disabilities.
If you have doorbell camera or CCTV footage from the area that may help the investigation, please call 101, quoting crime reference 50250252280.
Thank you for helping us keep our community spaces safe and accessible for everyone.
