The Axe Valley wildlife park is set to close on Friday 10th October due to it being financially unviable for them to continue operating.
In a statement on their website they said
As many of you may have heard in the news, we are not the only business facing these difficult times. Unfortunately, it has become financially unviable for us to continue operating.
When we opened our gates 17 years ago, we could never have imagined the wonderful journey ahead the thousands of amazing visitors, school trips, and loyal members who became part of our zoo family. We are so proud of the wide variety of animals we’ve cared for over the years, each one holding a special place in our hearts (we know many of you have your favourites too!).
Please rest assured that all of our animals will be rehomed safely and responsibly, in full compliance with animal welfare rules and procedures.
We also want to take this moment to thank our incredible staff and volunteers, past and present, who have worked tirelessly with love, dedication, and passion to care for our animals and welcome our visitors. We truly couldn’t have done it without you.
If you hold a membership with us, we will happily offer a refund for any remaining months. Please see our membership page for all the details on how to do this.
From all of us here thank you for the memories, the laughter, and the love you’ve shared with our animals and team.
You’ve made the past 17 years truly unforgettable.
