Wales & West Utilities has finished its work to upgrade the gas pipes in the Buddle Lane area of Exeter, ahead of schedule.
The work, which was due to finish at the end of the month, was vital to ensuring gas continues to flow safely and reliably to homes and businesses across the area - helping to keep people warm for decades to come. Wales & West Utilities started the project last October and liaised with Devon County Council throughout.
Wales & West Utilities Roxanne Whittaker managed the work and said:
“We would like to thank the local community for bearing with us whilst we completed this essential work.
“While most of the gas network is underground and out of sight, it plays a central role in the daily lives of people across the area. Whether it’s heating your home, making the family dinner, or having a hot bath, we understand how important it is for your gas supply to be safe and reliable and there when you need it.
“This work was essential to keep the gas flowing to local homes and businesses today, and to make sure the gas network is ready to transport green gases in the future.”
