East Devon has celebrated a night of remarkable success as a host of local businesses were recognised at the 2025 Devon Tourism Awards.
The annual event, which champions excellence across accommodation, attractions, hospitality and visitor experiences, saw East Devon businesses stand out for their quality, creativity and commitment to outstanding guest experiences.
Many of the winners are members of the East Devon Excellence network, each contributing something unique to the region and helping to elevate East Devon as a leading destination for visitors from across the UK and beyond.
The independently judged awards reflect high standards, dedication to guest satisfaction and a culture of reinvestment and innovation. They also shine a light on the teams and families whose hard work sits behind every memorable visitor experience.
Councillor Nick Hookway, Portfolio Holder Culture, Leisure, Sport and Tourism, East Devon District Council, said: “These achievements demonstrate not only the exceptional quality of our local tourism businesses but also the passion and pride that make East Devon such a special place to visit. That’s why our tourism strategy is so important: it sets out our commitment to building a sustainable, year-round visitor economy, championing accessibility, and supporting high-quality tourism experiences.
“We are incredibly proud of every finalist and winner. Their dedication underpins a thriving visitor economy and strengthens East Devon’s reputation as a premier destination.”
John Crouch, Chair of East Devon Excellence and Visitor Engagement Manager at the Donkey Sanctuary in Sidmouth, said: “Consistently being recognised as one of the best attractions in Devon takes a dedicated team from the gardeners through to visitor services. We’re very proud to receive this award and congratulations to all the East Devon businesses that were acknowledged for their excellence in hospitality.”
