The University of Exeter has successfully achieved the University Mental Health Charter (UMHC) Award by Student Minds, it has been announced,
Exeter joins 22 other Universities who have received the Charter for its work on mental health. The award recognises Exeter’s commitment to a whole-university approach to mental health, dedication to mental health and wellbeing as a core priority, and work with its community to continue to develop its approaches.
President and Vice-Chancellor, Professor Lisa Roberts, said: “I am delighted and incredibly proud that we have achieved the UMHC Award. It is testament to our community of staff and students and the excellent work everyone is doing to provide high-quality wellbeing support and to embed mental health at the heart of everything we do.
“The UMHC Award process has helped us to reflect on our progress and successes as well as to identify areas that we want to develop further. We view this award as just one step in our journey to continuously develop, and to embody, a whole-institutional approach to mental health.”
Exeter is also pleased to congratulate Falmouth University on their UMHC Award, and will continue to work with them and FX Plus to support those working and studying in Cornwall.
