Stephen Huxtable, 59, from Exmouth, has pleaded guilty to producing more than 100,000 child abuse images over a 15-year period and distributing more than 12,000. He admitted to nine charges under the Protection of Children Act during a hearing at Exeter Magistrates' Court on Wednesday.
The court was told Huxtable created the images between 2009 and 2024, including more than 17,000 category A images – the most severe – along with over 19,700 category B and 67,800 category C images.
Huxtable, of Moorfield Road, also admitted to distributing 12,358 images to an undercover police officer in Exmouth over five days in August 2023. Additionally, he was found in possession of a prohibited image involving bestiality with a dog.
He was granted bail and placed on the Sex Offenders Register. Sentencing is scheduled for 30 July at Exeter Crown Court.
