Officers investigating a fatal road traffic collision near Musbury at the weekend are appealing for any witnesses to come forward.
Police received a report of a serious road traffic collision involving a three-wheeler Invictus trike, a Harley Davidson motorcycle and a VW Golf car, soon after 2pm on Sunday 27 July on the A358 between Boshill Cross and Musbury.
The ambulance service and police attended the scene.
Despite the best efforts of everyone, the rider, a woman in her 70s from the Taunton area, sadly died at the scene.
Her next of kin were with her at the time and have been supported by officers.
The male rider of the motorbike was treated in hospital for minor injuries. The male driver of the car was not hurt.
Roads Policing Officers attended as well as forensic collision investigators and conducted a thorough investigation of the scene.
The road was closed for several hours whilst the investigation took place and reopened soon after 7pm.
