
Women’s Rugby World Cup players will be among those attending a free family fun day in Exeter on Thursday 28 August.
Family Fun on the Quay takes place between 1pm and 4pm, with a whole host of live entertainment and family-friendly activities. The event has been organised to celebrate the Women’s Rugby World Cup 2025 coming to the city.
Players from the France Women’s Rugby World Cup squad will be attending and there’ll be a chance to cheer on the Exeter Chiefs Women and players from Exeter Saracens, Topsham RFC and Exeter Athletic, as they take to the water for some thrilling dragon boat racing.
There’ll also be a chance for fans to take photos, get autographs and interact with the players. For those wanting to get active there’ll be a chance to have a go at friendly, fun T1 rugby sessions and find out about the Strive 25 programme taking place across the city.
There’ll be face painting, live music and dance, theatrical performances from Nuts & Volts, and a chance to dress up and have fun with the Royal Albert Memorial Museum (RAMM).
There’ll also be a Chiefs Merchandise Trailer and rugby gear and fan merchandise available to purchase.
The Women’s Rugby World Cup started on 22 August, with Exeter one of eight host cities. Sandy Park is hosting seven games, including two quarter-finals. As a result, the city has welcomed players and fans from nine countries as Exeter is put on the international stage.
