Community and arts groups in Exeter are being invited to apply for crucial funding.
Exeter City Council is making £50,000 available through its City Grants Fund.
The Fund supports projects and activities taking place across multiple wards or across the city. Groups can apply for a maximum of £2,500.
The City Grants Fund supports groups and organisations to help run events, festivals and projects that aim to encourage community participation. This fund can also be used for a one-off purchase or repair of equipment.
City Grants in 2025/26 will focus on the following priority neighbourhoods: Exwick, Redhills, St Thomas, St David’s, City Centre, Newtown, Mincinglake, Beacon Heath, Whipton, Wonford, and Countess Wear.
Cllr Matt Vizard, Lead Councillor for Climate, Ecological Change and Communities, said: “I am delighted we have been able to renew funding for this scheme which has helped so many excellent projects across our communities over the years. Exeter is a vibrant and inclusive city with a fantastic range of community and cultural groups and organisations which contribute so much to the City's diversity, creativity and wellbeing.
"I invite community and arts organisations to consider how their projects or events in our priority neighbourhoods might benefit from the contribution of a City Grant. I'm excited to see what applications we will receive over the three rounds of funding during the year ahead."
For Round 1, applications are now open and close at 12pm on 16 June.
Successful grants will be decided on 7 July.
More information and application forms for the grants are available on the dedicated Exeter Grants Programme webpage at https://exeter.gov.uk/people-and-communities/grants/exeter-grants-programme/
Community groups can also apply for a maximum grant of £350 for a Ward Grant from an overall budget of £39,000.
