Hang Glider pilot injured of East Devon Coast

Volunteers from Beer Coastguard along with other emergency services were called to Beer Head at the weekend.

The pilot of the hang glider had sustained severe facial injuries after landing near the old look out on Beer Head. 

A multi agency response including members of Beer Coastguard, Devon and Cornwall Police and South Western Ambulance services attended the scene

The casualty was treated and stabilised before being flown to Royal Devon and Exeter hospital by Dorset Air Ambulance
