A consultation is now live and will run until 9am on November 27, 2025, giving residents and other interested parties the chance to comment on the policies that will help guide future development across Woodbury, Woodbury Salterton and Exton.
The plan, submitted by Woodbury Parish Council, sets out a shared vision for the parish’s future, covering everything from housing and infrastructure to landscape, heritage, business and community spaces. Once adopted, it will help EDDC decide planning applications in the area and give the parish greater control over how development benefits the local community.
The plan has been more than a decade in the making, thanks to the dedication of Woodbury Parish Council and local volunteers who have worked hard to reflect residents’ views and protect what makes the parish special.
Councillor Todd Olive, EDDC’s portfolio holder for Strategic Planning, said:
“Neighbourhood Plans are an important way for communities to shape their own future. Woodbury’s plan represents years of commitment from local people who care deeply about their parish, and I would encourage everyone to take a look and have their say.”
Residents can view and comment on the plan via EDDC’s consultation portal (Commonplace) at: https://woodburyparishneighbourhoodplanreg16.commonplace.is/
The documents are also on the council’s website at:
