Help shape the future of culture in Exeter

Exeter residents are invited to help shape a new cultural strategy. The city council and local cultural groups are urging people to complete an online survey on Exeter’s cultural future. The survey runs until 12 December and takes only a few minutes.

People are being asked to help shape a new cultural strategy for Exeter.

The city council, working with cultural organisations and community groups, is encouraging people to take part in an online survey on the future of culture in Exeter.

It is hoped the new strategy will allow Exeter’s cultural and creative landscape to thrive over the coming years.

The survey runs until 12 December and only takes a few minutes to complete.

It explores topics including how people feel about living and working in the city, Exeter’s cultural scene and whether there are any barriers to enjoying culture.

Culture plays a huge role in bringing communities together and the council wants to ensure cultural growth and opportunity are at the heart of future investment in Exeter.

Cllr Bob Foale, Lead Councillor for Arts, Culture and Tourism, said: “Exeter is a city of culture, and we know how important it is for residents and visitors to the city.

“Our new Culture Strategy will ensure that the city’s cultural scene continues to thrive in the years ahead. I would urge everyone to take part in the survey – it only takes a few minutes, and your feedback is essential in creating an ambitious Culture Strategy the city can be proud of.”

Survey results will feed into the development of the draft Culture Strategy, which will be formally consulted upon in February and March, prior to consideration by councillors.
