The Lord Mayor of Exeter Cllr Kevin Mitchell has honoured citizens and organisations in Exeter for their outstanding service to the community.
The Lord Mayor’s Commendation Award is an opportunity to acknowledge those who perform an outstanding role in helping others in the community.
The Lord Mayor, accompanied by his Consort, officiated over the Lord Mayor’s Commendation Award Ceremony at the historic Guildhall.
The award is given by the Lord Mayor to individuals or organisations that have gone above and beyond for the city.
The full list of recipients is:
- Shirley and Dennis Mak - for outstanding work with the Hongkongers Community
- Meriel Fishwick - for her dedication to FORCE and the care of cancer patients
- Cameron Mills - for his service to young people and music
- Exeter Philharmonic Choir - for their service to vocal music and cultural life in our city
- Inclusive Exeter - for their service for promoting and supporting integration, cohesion and wellbeing among diverse communities in Exeter and Devon
- Nataliya Bondryeva - for her work to establish Ukrainian Saturday School to nurture Ukrainian language and culture amongst young Ukrainians in Devon
