The wait for a supermarket in Cranbrook is nearly over, as Morrisons has officially announced its opening date.
The wait for a supermarket in Cranbrook is nearly over, as Morrisons has officially announced its opening date. This milestone comes more than a decade after the first residents moved into the town.
Following years of delays, it was confirmed in September that the supermarket would open by the end of 2024. East Devon District councillors for the Cranbrook ward initially announced the development, stating that construction would take approximately two months, though an exact date wasn’t provided at the time.
Now, a sign outside the new store has revealed the eagerly awaited opening date. Cranbrook Town Council shared the news and an image of the sign on their Facebook page, expressing excitement and calling it "thrilling news" for the community. Morrisons, located on Elm Drive in Cranbrook, will officially open its doors on December 12.
