Emergency services were called at around 6.50pm on Friday 21 June to Sidmouth Road, Honiton, where it was reported that a single vehicle collision involving a silver Vauxhall Meriva had taken place.
Officers investigating a fatal collision are hoping to identify the driver of a light blue Mini who may have witnessed the incident.
Emergency services were called at around 6.50pm on Friday 21 June to Sidmouth Road, Honiton, where it was reported that a single vehicle collision involving a silver Vauxhall Meriva had taken place.
The two passengers, a man and a woman both in their 80s and from the local area, were taken to hospital having sustained serious injuries.
Sadly, the man has since passed away as a result of injuries sustained in the collision. The woman’s injuries are not considered life-threatening.
Investigating officers are now seeking to identify the driver and occupants of a light blue coloured Mini travelling directly behind the Meriva as it is believed they could have potentially witnessed the collision and may be able to help the investigation.
The road was closed while an investigation was carried out at the scene.
