Witnesses are sought by police after a pedestrian was seriously injured in a traffic collision in Exmouth.
A silver Nissan Almera was in collision with a woman outside Home Bargains in Salterton Road around 2.30pm on Friday 10 January.
The woman in her 70s from Honiton sustained life-threatening injuries and was taken to Royal Devon and Exeter Hospital where she remains.
A man in his 50s from Exmouth was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and causing serious injury by careless/inconsiderate driving. He has been released on bail until 2 April pending further enquiries.
Officers from Devon and Cornwall Roads Policing Team are conducting an investigation into the circumstances of the incident and appealing for any witnesses to get in touch.
They would also like to hear from any motorist who may have captured the collision on dash cam.
