Police are appealing for witnesses and information following a serious road traffic collision that occurred on the A30 eastbound carriageway at Clyst Honiton at 11am on Sunday 29 June.
Emergency services were dispatched to the A30 near to the Exeter Airport, where there had been a report of a single vehicle collision involving the rider of a Royal Enfield motorcycle, which had left the carriageway.
The male rider of the motorcycle was located and taken to hospital via air ambulance having sustained life-threatening injuries. He remains in hospital.
The eastbound carriageway of the A30 was closed whilst an investigation was carried out by Serious Collison Investigation Team.
Officers would like to thank the public for their patience whilst the road was closed.
