Officers are appealing to the public for help in identifying this man in connection with an assault in Seaton.
A woman was punched multiple times in the face by a man during an unprovoked assault which happened around 3.40pm on Wednesday 30 July.
The incident began after the victim went to help a woman in distress by the entrance to Cliff Field Gardens on Beer Road.
They were then approached by a man who proceeded to assault the victim, striking her several times in the face. She sustained facial injuries but managed to get away.
The suspect, who was with a woman, then followed her to her van and punched the window.
Police are investigating the incident and are keen to identify the man pictured as he may be able to assist with their enquiries.
While we acknowledge that the image is of poor quality, it is the best we have at this time and it is hoped that someone may still recognise the man.
If you have any information about the man pictured or the incident, please contact police online or by telephoning 101, quoting reference 50250197047.
