Detectives investigating reports of indecent exposure and sexual assault in Exeter, are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
A number of similar incidents have been reported as occurring between Wednesday 22 October and Monday 10 November in the Cheeke Street and Heavitree Road area of the city, with many of these taking place late in the evening or early in the morning.
A 45-year-old man from Exeter has been arrested on suspicion of sexual assault and in relation to three incidents of indecent exposure. He remains in police custody.
Detective Inspector Nicky Baker said: “There have been a number of similar reports made to us over recent weeks; as a result, we have been making extensive, targeted enquiries in the area.
“We would urge anyone who has further information to come forward and speak to us. We are aware that incidents of this nature can be worrying and cause concern for the community.
“Officers will remain in the area over the coming days as our enquiries continue, so if anyone does have concerns or has any information, please speak to them.”
