Police are appealing for witnesses and footage following a fatal road traffic collision in Budleigh Salterton on Wednesday 12 November.
Emergency services were called at around 4.30pm to East Budleigh Road following reports of a two-vehicle collision involving a grey Volkswagen Golf and grey Volkswagen Transporter.
The driver of the Volkswagen Golf – a local woman in her 70s - was sadly pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the Volkswagen Transporter was uninjured.
Both vehicles were travelling in opposing directions, with the Volkswagen Golf travelling in the direction of Budleigh Salterton.
Officers from the Roads Policing team would like to thank the public for their patience during the road closures whilst a full scene examination took place.
