Residents are being reminded to check they are registered to vote ahead of the Exeter City Council elections on Thursday 7 May.
Anyone who is not registered will not be able to vote. Checking your details now helps avoid missing the opportunity to take part in local democracy.
The electoral register lists the names and addresses of everyone registered to vote. It is sometimes called the electoral roll.
Residents can register online in just a few minutes using the government’s register to vote service. Those who have moved house or changed their name should also update their details.
Residents are encouraged to check their details early and make sure they are ready to vote on 7 May.
Poll cards will be delivered to homes in Exeter in early April.
You can register to vote online at Register to vote - GOV.UK
