Waste and recycling crews have recently struggled to access several residential roads in Exeter due to cars parked on corners.
The issue is preventing vital services from reaching homes—posing a risk not only to collections but also to emergency response.
In response, Exeter City Council’s recycling champion Denis the Dustcart shared a reminder on social media urging drivers to Think Before You Park. The message struck a chord with residents. The post received 460 likes, was shared 532 times, and reached nearly a quarter of a million people.
The overwhelming support shows that many residents feel the same way—parking on corners puts lives at risk. Let’s work together to keep our roads clear and accessible.
