This is a really exciting summer holiday offer for 11 to 17-year-olds to get creative and learn new skills with experienced local artists. We welcome young people to come along and try an inspiring new activity each day over Summer Art Week this August.
Summer Art Week 2025 at THG in Honiton will feature inspiring art activities culminating in a free drop-in workshop for all ages. Teens can enjoy learning new skills in a broad range of mediums from sculpting to printing, embroidery to photography.
Enjoy a a fun introduction to cardboard sculpting with James Lake and create a cardboard trainer. Build your printmaking skills and create a body of prints to take home with printmaker Simon Ripley from Double Elephant Print Workshop. Dive into THG's pop-up darkroom space with photographer, Marcus Davies to capture some wonderful light experiments or learn colourful darning and embroidery techniques with Molly Rooke to add vibrancy to your clothes.
Summer Art Week will culminate in a Free Family Drop-in Workshop for all ages and abilities with the Crafting Cowboy to create colourful critters to brighten the sky!

Summer Art Week is partly funded by THG's Create our Space youth project inspiring young people to visit and be involved with art galleries, funded by Arts Council England.
