Amy Jayne Durban, of Hemyock, Cullompton, Devon, was arrested by Border Force at Heathrow on 6 July after arriving from Bangkok. She is alleged to have carried 51.2kg of cannabis in her suitcases, with an estimated street value of at least £512,000.
A 45-year-old Devon woman has been charged with attempting to smuggle more than 51kg of cannabis into the UK after arriving on a flight from Thailand.
Amy Jayne Durban, of Hemyock, Cullompton, was arrested by Border Force officers at Heathrow Airport on 6 July after landing from Bangkok.
The arrest followed a National Crime Agency investigation. It is alleged that two suitcases belonging to Durban contained 51.2kg of cannabis with an estimated street value of at least £512,000.
Durban appeared before Uxbridge Magistrates' Court, where she was charged and remanded into custody.
She is due to appear at Isleworth Crown Court for a pre-trial preparatory hearing on 6 August.
