Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Dawlish.
At around 8.40pm on Thursday 25 June on The Strand a group of youths surrounded an adult victim following a verbal exchange.
The victim was then struck and knocked to the ground.
While on the ground, he was kicked repeatedly resulting in a broken leg.
A 15-year-old boy from Teignmouth was arrested on suspicion of wounding. He has been released on police bail.
Officers are keen to hear from anybody who witnessed the assault who has not yet spoken to police.
It is believed there are several eyewitnesses who left prior to Police arrival.
