Police officers are appealing for witnesses and information following a fatal road traffic collision near Cullompton, Devon.
Officers were called to the B3181 near Westcott, Cullompton at around 12.45pm on Saturday 26 September. It was reported that the collision involved a red Victory motorcycle and black Volkswagen Polo.
The rider of the motorbike, a man in his 50s, sustained serious injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. His family have been informed.
The road was closed while an investigation was carried out and officers from the Roads Policing Team would like to thank the public for their patience.
The road was reopened around 9pm.
