In local football on Bank Holiday Monday Exmouth Town were held to a disappointing 3 all draw at Southern Road by Willand Rovers in front of a bumper crowd of over 470.

Falling behind to an early goal from the visitors Town levelled before the break and then took a 3-1 lead midway through the second half only to see Willand reduce the lead with a 72 min goal and level the scores with a penalty in the last minute of normal time leaving Town admitting it was 3 points lost rather than a point gained.

The only other local fixture played was a Peninsula League Cup encounter where Sidmouth Town were comprehesivly beaten  by 6 goals to 1 by league leaders Okehampton Argyle at Manstone Lane.
