In local football on Boxing day Exmouth Town gained an excellent away victory with a 2-1 win at Cornish side Helston at their Kellaway Park Ground and remain in second place in the Southern League One South Division and can now look forward with confidence to their home game tomorrow against Bideford FC at Southern Road.
In the Peninsula League East Sidmouth Town stay top after a comfortable 4-0 victory over Honiton Town at Manstone Lane, Newton Abbot Spurs also had a 4-0 win against visiting Teignmouth FC at Marsh Road but bottom of the table Axminster Town lost 4-0 at Tigers Way to Bridport FC.
