He was gutted to not be on the top step, but chuffed to pick up his first medal and said it was a good start to the week with the Team Pursuit and Madison to come.
Will is riding for team GB in Apeldroon, The Netherlands in the U23 category
Omnisport Apeldoorn is hosting the European Track Cycling Championships for juniors and under 23 from 17 to 22 August 2021.
The participants in this European Championship will form the elite selections of the future.
After all, they form the new generation that must (continue to) provide the medals of honour towards the Olympic Games in 2024 and 2028.
Will is hoping to ride for Team GB in the 2024 Olympics.
