In local cricket on Saturday in the Devon premier league after their convincing victory over close neighbours Sidmouth, Exmouth travel to Tiverton to play Heathcoat hoping to close the gap on third placed Exeter who should pick up maximum points when they entertain bottom of the league Plympton at the county ground while struggling Paignton host Sidmouth at Queens park.
In the A division Torquay/Kingskerswell have home advantage with the visit of Abbotskerswell to the recreation ground.
In division B Teignmouth/ Shaldon welcome Clyst St George to Hazeldown , second placed Cullompton entertain Budleigh Salterton second eleven at Duke street while, league of leaders Barton play host to North Devon side Bideford/Westward Ho! at Cricketfield road while Stoke Gabriel have home advantage against Chudleigh at Eastley memorial ground.
In the C division East Seaton are at home to Uplyme/ Lyme Regis at Court lane, Alphington welcome neighbours Exeter second eleven to the Chronicles with Ottery St Mary making the short trip to Sidmouth seconds at the Fortfield ground.
Finally in division D east second placed Upottery host north devon side Barnstaple /Pilton at Glebe park, Topsham St James travel to Ottery St Mary seconds at Strawberry lane with Clyst Hydon hosting Shobrooke park at Merryfield.
