Saturday saw the start of the Tolchard Devon cricket season with several matches postponed due to the weather but Exmouth suffered defeat in their first game back in the Premier division when they were beaten at Tiverton side Heathcoat by 7 wickets

Saturday saw the start of the Tolchard Devon cricket season with several matches postponed due to the weather but Exmouth suffered defeat in their first game back in the Premier Division when they were beaten at Tiverton side Heathcoat by 7 wickets but Sidmouth had a narrow away victory over North Devon winning by just 6 runs.

In the A Division Budleigh Saltertons home encounter with Abbotskerswell was a victim of the weather as was newly promoted Clyst St George game at West Devon club Hatherleigh.

Finally in the B Division Cullompton lost at home to visitors Chudleigh by 60 runs in a low scoring game.
