Local cricket on saturday saw the completion of the Tolchard Devon league with several games begin effected by rain . In the premier division Sidmouth beat bottom club Plymouth by 8 wickets at the Fortfield ground while in the A division , although losing to local rival's Budleigh Salterton at the Mear by 4 wickets Exmouth finish top of the table after dominating the league throughout in a very successful season .In the B division Clyst st George also finished as league champions but again they were beaten at Chudleigh in a rain affected game by 6 wickets and Cullomptons home match with Tavistock was abandoned .
