In local football on Saturday the weather was kind and a full programme of fixtures took place
In the Southern league one south Exmouth Town fell deeper into relegation worries after a 2-1 defeat at fellow strugglers Poulton Rovers and will be looking for a much improved performance in the new year to move off the bottom of the table.
In the Peninsula league east Honiton Town slipped to a 5-1 defeat at Bovey Tracey, but Crediton Utd had a well deserved victory at Dartmouth Utd and Sidmouth Town comfortably beat visitors Cullompton Rangers 4-0 at Manstone Lane while Teignmouth fc lost 6-4 to Bridport afc at Coombe Valley .
In the W P Cup Axminster Town are through to the next round after a surprise 1-0 victory over league leaders Ivybridge Town at Erme Park.
In the A&S Devon league Ottery St Mary were beaten 2-1 by Lakeside Athletic at Washbrook Meadow, Beer Albion won 1-0 over Plymouth University side Marjons at Stovar long lane but Topsham Town lost 4-2 to Budleigh Salterton at the Coronation ground.
Finally in the Devon and Exeter premier league Colyton fc beat Crediton Utd reserves 3-0 at Peace Memorial ground and Upottery afc won 3-1 against Elmore Utd second eleven at Glebe Park.
In division one Lympstone Utd beat visitors Newtown fc reserves at the Marine Camp and in division two Exmouth Spartans won 2-0 against visitors Tipton St John at the Commons ground while Seaton Town went down 5-2 at home to Tedburn St Mary and lastly in division six Otterton drew 2 all at Exeter side Railway fc
