A round up of this weekends local football action.
In our local football on Saturday Exmouth Town were well beaten by league leaders Wimborne Town at Southern road going down by 4 goals to 1 and remain deep in the relegation zone of the Southern league one south . Finding themselves 2 goals down early on Arron Denny did get one back but another from the visitors just before the break kept their 2 goal lead and another in the second half meant they returned home with all 3 points.
In the Peninsula league east there was just two local games with Axminster Town comfortably beating bottom club Dartmouth Utd 4-0 at Tigers Way while Teignmouth FC has to settle for a 2 all draw with visitors Okehampton Argyle at Coombe Valley.
In the A&S Devon league Beer Albion easily accounted for Feniton FC by 5 goals to 2 at Stovar lane , Topsham Town beat highly rated university side Marjons in Plymouth 2-0 but Budleigh Salterton lost 2-1 at Bere Alston Utd .
In the Devon and Exeter league first division East Budleigh had the better in a high scoring game beating Ottery St Mary 7-5 at the recreation ground and Lympstone Utd won 2-0 over Teignmouth second eleven at the Marine camp.
In division 2 Seaton Town beat visiting Tipton St John 3-2 at home while finally in division 6 Ex Dons won 2-1 against Otterton FC at the Commons ground .
