Another busy weekend for our local football teams.
In local football on Saturday in the Southern league one south Exmouth Town gave themselves a morale boosting 2-0 victory over west Devon rivals Tavistock Utd at Langsford park , two goals from Tom Bath ,one in each giving them a much needed 3 points in their efforts to avoid relegation this season.
In the Peninsula league east Honiton Town were beaten 3-0 at Simmons Park by west Devon side Okehampton Argyle, Cullompton rangers were also beaten away losing 2-0 to runaway league leaders Ivybridge Town and Sidmouth Town had to settle for a 1all draw at bottom club Dartmouth Utd but Crediton Utd enjoyed a 2-1 victory over visiting Bridport AFC at Lord's Meadow and Teignmouth FC beat near neighbours Bovey Tracey 3-1at Coombe Valley.
In the A&S Devon league Topsham Town lost 3-2 at North Molton S C , Budleigh Salterton managed a 3 all draw against Feniton FC at Greenway lane but Beer Albion hammered Plymouth side Mount Gould by 6 goals to 0 away .
In the Devon and Exeter premier league Colyton FC beat Elmore Utd reserves 4-3 at the Peace Memorial ground and Upottery FC won 2-1 against visitors Bow A A C at Glebe park while in the first division Dawlish Utd were well beaten 5-2 by Newtown second eleven at the leisure centre and East Budleigh went down by 4 goals to 2 at Exeter University 3rds .
In division 2 Exmouth Spartans beat visiting Tedburn St Mary 3-1 at the Commons ground and Tipton St John overcame Clyst Valley reserves 2-1 away . Finally in division 6 Ex Dons won 3-1 at Cheriton Fitzpaine second eleven and Otterton overcame Sandford reserves 5-1 at Stantyway.
