In local football on Saturday once again the bad weather took it's toll with several cancellations due to waterlogged pitches.
However Exmouth Towns game at Bristol Manor Farm survived but after leading 2-1 at the break a harsh red card reduced them to 10 men and the home side took full advantage to win 3-2 with late goal in added time .
In the Peninsula league east there was only one game with Teignmouth fc gaining a 2 all draw at Bishops Lydeard. While in the A & S Devon league Beer Albion won 2-0 at North Devon side Appledore fc, Budleigh Salterton lost 4-3 to Newtown at Greenway lane and Ottery St Mary were well beaten 4-1 by visitors Ipplepen Athletic at Washbroke Meadow .
In the Devon and Exeter leagues ,in the first division East Budleigh won 4-0 over Bow AAC at the recreation ground, Lympstone Utd went down 4-0 at west Devon side Hatherleigh Town and Dawlish Utd had a 13 Goals to 0 thrashing at Exeter University third eleven . In division 2 Exmouth Spartans were well beaten at Exeter side Central fc 8-3 and lastly Axmouth Utd were hammered 9-0 away to Railway FC in division 6.
