Local football report from the weekend

A round up of all the local football results from the weekend.

In local football on Saturday in the Southern league one south although they lost 1-0 at Bristol side Cribbs fc Exmouth Town guaranteed their place in the division for another season due to. other results going their way.

While in the Peninsula league east there were seven local results, Axminster Town beat Stoke Gabriel T/P 2-0 at Tigers Way, Crediton Utd stay in third place after their 3-1 win over Bovey Tracey at Lord's Meadow, Cullompton rangers had a welcome victory over visiting Torrington afc at Speeds Meadow and Honiton Town overcame bottom club Dartmouth Utd by 2 goals to 1 at the Memorial ground. Other home victory's saw Newton Abbot Spurs beat lowly Bishops Lydeard 3-1 and Teignmouth FC narrow 1-0 win over Plymouth side Elburton Villa at Coombe Valley, Sidmouth Town completed the local victories with a 4-2 win at north Devon side Torridgeside FC.

In the A & S Devon league Beer Albion thrashed Topsham Town 7-0 at Stovar long lane, Budleigh Salterton were held to a 0-0 scoreless draw at Appledore fc but Ottery St Mary went down 2-1 at Plymouth side Lakeside Athletic.

In the Devon and Exeter premier league Upottery beat visitors Sandford fc 3-1 at Glebe park but Colyton FC were well beaten 5-0 at Lapford FC.

In division one Dawlish Utd won 3-2 against Newton st Cyres at the leisure centre but Lympstone Utd went down 2-1 at Newtown second eleven and East Budleigh were beaten 1-0 at Washbroke Meadow by Ottery St Mary reserves .

In the second division Exmouth Spartans were well beaten 4-0 by Central FC at the Commons and Tipton St John lost 4-3 at home to Tedburn St Mary.

Finally in division 6 Ex Dons easily beat Exeter Royals 5-0 at the Commons ground, Otterton won 4-1 at Sandford reserves but Axmouth Utd were beaten 4-2 at home to Railway fc.
