A round up of all the local football results from the weekend

In local football on Saturday in the Southern league one south Exmouth Towns run of good results came to an end when they were surprisingly beaten 2-1 by relegated Polton Rovers at Southern road after taking a first half lead they fell away badly after the break .

In the Peninsula league east Honiton Town were well beaten 4-0 at home to Plymouth side Elburton Villa and Crediton Utd lost heavily at league champions Ivybridge Town by 5 goals to 1 but Axminster Town won 1-0 at north Devon side Torrington afc and Cullompton Rangers came away with a 7-0 victory at bottom club Dartmouth Utd while Teignmouth fc were held to a goalless draw at Torridgeside and Sidmouth Town were beaten 1-0 by visiting Bovey Tracey at Manstone road but Newton Abbot Spurs had a 2-1 home victory over Bridport FC.

In the A & S Devon league Budleigh Salterton won 2-0 against Bere Alston Utd at Greenway lane, Beer Albion thrashed Ipplepen Athletic 6-0 away but Ottery St Mary lost 4-0 at Mill road to Barnstaple Town reserves.

In the Devon and Exeter premier league Upottery FC convincingly beat visitors Winkleigh fc 4-0 at Glebe park while in division one Lympstone Utd lost 4-1 at Wellington second eleven. In division two Tipton St John were beaten 2-0 at home to Fairway Utd but Exmouth Spartans progress to the next round of the Sleeman cup with a 4-1 victory at Witheridge FC .

Finally in division 6 Axmouth Utd lost 3-2 at home to Exeter side Beacon Knights but Ex Dons are through to the next round of the Express cup with a 3-0 win over City Raiders away.
