A round up of all the local football action from the weekend
In local football on Saturday in the Peninsula league east Crediton Utd beat visiting Teignmouth FC 4-1 at Lord's Meadow and Sidmouth Town had a comfortable 4-0 victory over north Devon side Torridgeside FC at Manstone road but Honiton Town lost 5-4 in a high scoring game to Newton Abbot Spurs at the memorial ground and Axminster Town had to settle for a 1 all draw at Elburton Villa .
In the A & S Devon league Ottery St Mary were thumped 8-0 by league leaders Exeter University and in the Devon Cup Budleigh Salterton are through to the next round after beating Ipplepen Athletic 4-2 on penalties.
In the Devon and Exeter league premier division Colyton fc beat Sandford afc 5-3 away while Upottery FC had to settle for a 2 all draw against Sidmouth Town second eleven at Glebe park.
In the first division Lympstone Utd had to settle for a 2 all draw with Bow AAC at the Marine camp but Dawlish Utd were well beaten by 6 goals to 1 by St Martin's at Minster park. In the second division Tipton St John were held to a 1 all draw at home to Beer Albion reserves with Exmouth Spartans losing 5-2 at Exeter University 4th eleven.
Finally in division 6 Otterton FC were thrashed 9-0 by Railway FC at Stantyway but Ex Dons convincingly beat Bampton FC 4-1 at the Commons.
