Local football report from the weekend

A round up of this weekends local football results

In local football on Saturday Exmouth Town got their new league season of to a flying start with a 3-0 victory over visiting Thatcham Town in the Southern league one south at Southern road . A great strick from Jake Thorne gave them the lead at the break and two more after half time from Josh Cann and an own goal set them up nicely for Tuesday nights visit to Bideford fc at the sports ground.

In the Peninsula league east Sidmouth Town were held to a one all draw at Manstone lane by visitor's Teignmouth fc, Honiton Town also had to settle for a 1 all draw at new boys Middlezoy Rovers, as did Crediton Utd against Somerset side Bishop's Lydeard at Cothelstone road while Okehampton Argyle won 3-2 at the Churchward memorial ground against Stoke Gabriel/TP and Newton Abbot Spurs beat Plymouth side Elburton Villa 2-1 away .

On Wednesday night Okehampton Argyle travel north to take on Torridgeside fc at their Donnicroft ground .
