A round up of this weekends local football results
In local football this Saturday in the Southern league one south Exmouth Town got their first win of the season with a convincing 4-1 victory at Kayte lane of Bishops Cleve. Two first half goals from Levi Landricombe and a penalty from skipper Ben Steer set them on their way and a further 2 goals after the break from Ethan Slater and Ace High saw them travel back to Southern Road with 3 valuable points .
In the Peninsula league east Axminster Town had a comfortable 5-0 victory over Torridgeside fc at Tigers Way, Honiton Town traveled to league leaders Ivybridge Town and were well beaten 6-1 at Erme Park. Crediton Utd earned a credible 2 all draw at Newton Abbot Spurs , Cullompton Rangers lost 1-0 at Coombe Valley home of Teignmouth afc but Sidmouth Town had a excellent 3-1 victory over Okehampton Argyle at Simmons Park.
In the A&S Devon league it was a bad day for our local clubs , Topsham Town lost 4-0 at Bere Alston Utd, Ottery St Mary were beaten 2-1 by Plymstock Utd at Washbrook Meadow and Beer Albion went down by 4 goals to 1 away to Thorverton fc but Budleigh Salterton did manage a 2 all draw with Lakeside Athletic at Greenway Lane.
In the Devon and Exeter leagues, in the Premier division Colyton fc lost 3-0 at home to visitors Winkleigh but Upottery gained a 4-2 victory at Horsdon park against Elmore Utd second eleven.
In division one East Budleigh had a comfortable 4-0 win over visiting Newton st Cyres, Lympstone Utd were held to a 2 all draw at the Marine Camp by University 3rd eleven but Dawlish Utd were hammered 7- 0 at Newtown reserves .
In division 2 Exmouth Spartans were beaten 2-1 at Beer Albion reserves and Tipton st John also lost away going down 3-1 to Exeter University 4ths .
Finally in division 6 Ex Don's were held to a 2 all draw by City Raiders at the Commons ground but Otterton were beaten 3-1 at Stantyway by visitors Beacon Knights.
